New Wine Spectator Highly Rated 2018 Pinots

New and exciting 2018 Pinots continue to roll in. Today it's two Wine Spectator highly-rated, Avalon-approved Pinots from two of Oregon's finest: Bergstrom and Brick House. Cheers to Friday and to a great glass or two!

$38.95 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case order ($42.95 regular)

94 points Wine Spectator, Highly Recommended, #37 Top 100 Wines of 2020: "Dynamic yet harmonious, with expressive raspberry and rose petal aromas, accented by flavors of orange peel and dusky spice. Builds richness toward polished tannins. Drink now through 2028." Also 94+ points Wine Advocate

Bergstrom: Dark black cherry in color, the 2018 Cumberland Reserve is perfumed with red roses, floral pastilles, dark cherry and black raspberry candies, savory garden herbs, sweet mushrooms, and meaty bouillon. This vintage is fresh and light on its feet, with good floral perfume and a generous persistence of ripe, crunchy red and dark fruits with fine ripe tannins and a stony mineral structure. 13.5% alcohol. Drink now through 2025+.

$44.95 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case order ($49.95 regular)

93 points Wine Spectator: "Refined and a bit brooding at first, this slowly unveils itself with refined and multilayered raspberry and cherry flavors laced with cinnamon and rose petal. Finishes with fine-grained tannins. Drink now through 2028. 298 cases made."

Us: A wonderful counterpoint to Brick House's Les Dijonnais, this is the darker and more structured of the two, still showing the lovely, elegant style for which the winery is famous. Think about lamb or duck with rosemary and thyme...and you have a mouthwatering match.
