Keep the Victory Party Going: Oregon Bubbles Bargains

Go USA!! Let the bubbly flow! We didn't have a back up email for today so we're even more stoked that the USWNT pulled out the epic win.

As we've said countless times, bubbles are for much more than celebrating. But don't let us stop you from partying -- here are two small-batch, super-humbly priced Oregon sparkling wines that a) take down their French counterparts (ooh, burn!) and b) definitely beat what the English have to offer for bubbles (now we're just trash-talking). And as long as we're at it, they take down many of the doubly-priced Oregon bubbles that we've tasted in the last year. Boom!

Mellen Meyer Willamette Valley Brut NV
$26.05 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($28.95 regular)
A special new price for summer makes this even more of a breath of fresh air in the Oregon sparkling wine scene. Priced for a party, beautifully clean and refreshing, superbly balanced and persistent with its citrus and green apple notes, accented by brioche and clove. The finish strikes a harmoniously zesty chord. 70% Pinot noir and 30% Chardonnay. Great with a wide range of foods and on its own.

It takes a ton of dedication to be a young producer with a sparkling wine focus. It's labor intensive, expensive, and time consuming; this wine is three years (or more) in the making. Kudos to Mellen Meyer's Bobby Rowett for making the commitment and delivering the goods!

Timothy Malone Method Ancestral Oregon Sparkling Wine 2018
$22.45 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($24.95 regular)
Sparkling Nebbiolo from Apolloni Vineyard in the Willamette Valley, honest and authentic just like its maker. Fresh and floral, light citrus and mellow red berries. Closed with a crown cap (to be opened with a bottle opener/reasonably sharp ledge in any room/your teeth), don't think too hard, just chill it down and crush it with pizza, burgers, paella, summer. 100% fun and an equal percentage delicious.

Holiday hours:
We'll be open Friday, July 5 from 10-4 and closed Saturday, July 6.
Thanks so much for reading and for your enthusiastic support!
