Great Pinots for the Price: Two New Willamette Valley Winners

We continue to see reviews that validate our early impressions of Oregon's 2016 vintage. It's another winner! Today's new Pinots pack a ton of deliciousness into their reasonable prices. Bonus: they are fresh off great reviews from Wine Spectator Insider. We encourage you to load up.

Failla Willamette Valley Pinot noir 2016

$26.95 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($29.95 regular)

93 points Wine Spectator: "An elegantly dynamic wine that starts with a whisper and then blooms and fans out, offering vibrant red berry, stony mineral and savory spice flavors that finish with refined tannins. Drink now through 2024."

I don't know about starting with a whisper, because we tasted it this morning and it was blooming and fanning out right away! Bursting with a mix of berries in lovely harmony with its savory Eola-Amity Hills character, it is a pure pleasure to pop and pour today. There's a lot packed into 30 bucks here. - Marcus

Lingua Franca Avni Pinot noir 2016
$31.45 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($34.95 regular)

92 points Wine Spectator: "Elegant and sleekly focused, with complex and precise raspberry and dark cherry flavors accented by crushed stone and cinnamon notes that glide toward refined tannins. Drink now through 2024."

The second vintage from one of our new favorite wineries, Avni shows up to the party ready to dance! That black cherry that we love, plus delicious complexity, equals pour us another glass. - Us
