For the First Time in Years: $25 Arterberry Maresh Chardonnay

We were so excited to get this message to you that we almost sent it Friday evening. Jim Maresh stopped by Friday afternoon with a brand new bottle of a wine we haven't seen in years: Arterberry Maresh Dundee Hills Chardonnay 2015. We are thrilled to offer it today for well under $25. With only four barrels made, we expect it to fly!

The first since 2011!

Arterberry Maresh Dundee Hills Chardonnay 2015

$22.45 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($24.95 regular

80% Maresh, plus contributions from Weber and newcomer Dux Vineyards, it's everything we want and expect: expressive richness, well-defined freshness, depth of flavor and outright down-the-hatch goodness. We urge you to get some while you can.

When we have conversations with customers about their favorite Oregon Chardonnays, we often hear "that Dundee Hills Chard from Arterberry Maresh." Only one problem: we haven't had any to sell since the 2011 vintage because Jim Maresh hasn't made any. Today it returns! For what we expect to be a very limited time, given there were a measly 100 cases made, we can sell this with abandon. And we will.

95 points Wine Advocate

The highest scoring wine of the 556 in Wine Advocate's 2016 Oregon report.

This, this is Oregon Pinot noir. The elegance of old vines, the purity of fruit unobstructed by make-up or technique. Soaring, mesmerizing aromas that transport you to the sun-baked Red Hills of Dundee. The Holy Grail of grace and generosity, where you can have succulent fruit, floating on silk, intertwined with vibrant freshness. True harmony exists through a melding of fruit, spice, floral tones, and that ethereal, indescribable sweetness of Pinot noir that is a hallmark of Arterberry Maresh wines. Very few Oregon Pinot noirs can boast the vine age of Maresh Vineyard; it is the fifth oldest vineyard in the Willamette Valley. - Avalon

"Classy, composed and cool, this is how to make world-class Pinot Noir." - Wine Advocate

Gorgeous, old vine, single vineyard Dundee Hills Pinot noir. Even with Jim Maresh's elegant house style, this has lusciousness to spare. Silky, with effusive black cherry and black raspberry providing the focal point of flavor, accented by floral and sweet earth nuances. Drink it now for its deliciousness or hold it 5-7 years. - Avalon

Arterberry Maresh Dundee Hills Pinot noir 2014

$22.45 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($24.95 regular

"The 2014 Pinot Noir Dundee Hills is a blend of Maresh, Juliard, Weber, Gehrts and Folie Hill vineyards. For $25, it's probably the bargain of the vintage."

- Wine Advocate

Wines like this don't often get made, especially in tremendous vintages like 2014. It's so tempting to keep all the juice in the higher-priced single vineyard bottling, but Jim Maresh's Dundee Hills is the ultimate gateway wine. Experience the Arterberry Maresh style for a bargain. It over delivers on fruit and complexity. - Avalon
