Cameron's Reserves: Living Up to the Potential

We saw the potential for greatness as soon as Cameron's "lowly" Willamette Valley 2015 was released in May. We told winemaker John Paul that the '15s were going to be amazing, and while it took a little more time for him to agree with us, we're all on the same page now: Cameron's single vineyard wines lived up to the potential: they're gorgeous. Which is our favorite? Whichever is in our glass!

If you have a Pinot noir and/or Chardonnay collection, these should be a part of it. (at right, the gates of Clos Electrique)
Cameron Abbey Ridge Pinot noir 2015
$62.05 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($68.95 regular)
A thing of beauty. Opening with sexy aromas of crushed red berries, lavender, licorice and rosemary, the palate expands to an elegant and mouthfilling mix of supple red fruits with warm spice accents. Really tempting to open a bottle now (go ahead, you have my full permission) though history has told me that 2-10 years of age will make for optimal drinking. Abbey Ridge is a crown jewel of Willamette Valley vineyards -- nearly 40 year-old vines, high in the Dundee Hills, organically farmed, so distinctive in the wines it produces. - Marcus

Cameron Clos Electrique Pinot noir 2015
$62.05 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($68.95 regular)
A complex and sultry wine, this is its own beast. Beaming red fruits meet sandalwood, and English breakfast tea, mingling with a kiss of orange and the vineyard's signature mouthwatering salinity and mineral notes, before picking up a cherry ribbon that sings through the finish. With over fifteen clones of Pinot noir planted on a mere two acres, Clos Electrique is one of Oregon's most fascinating and electrifying (sorry!) vineyards. Like the Abbey Ridge, this can be cracked early though it will rock your world after a handful of years in the cellar. Old World Pinot noir meets Oregon. - Marcus

I've tasted a boat load of Oregon Chardonnay and each vintage this is one of a literal handful of the top wines, period. Planted to rare clones of Chardonnay not typically found in Oregon and California, Clos Electrique delivers a laser of Chardonnay beauty with textural brilliance and a decade (or more) of aging potential. I'm practically drooling recalling it. - Marcus

We look forward to helping you with an order. Thanks for your support!
