While we wish it weren't so, our friends at Alexana have phased out their Washington wine program, including one of our favorite Washington Bordeaux blends of all time, Gran Coeur. At its original $50 price, we love it, we recommended it without reservation. In order to help the remaining Gran Coeur find happy homes, we're offering 40% when you buy a 6-pack of Alexana Gran Coeur 2015! It's a slam dunk for $29.99.
Holy ___ we love this wine! Beautiful, mesmerizing fruit grabs your attention: first blackberry, then black cherry and black currant, adding mocha, cedar, and spice accents. There's an elegance, balance and silkiness, which is evident from first sip and all the way through the richly expressive finish that fans out and keeps giving. Already gushing, this is equally outstanding as a wine for your next dinner party as it is for the cellar. 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 20% Petit Verdot, 15% Merlot and 15% Malbec. - Marcus

Okay, this isn't a bargain, but it's so flipping awesome and has been hot on re-orders, too! We universally recommend it. How's that for an endorsement?

Us: Completely, totally a wine that any/all Cab fans will love. Doubly awesome (see below). Perfectly dark and lush cassis accented by tobacco and bittersweet chocolate, with tannins so silky that they're buried within the overall beauty. Opened Friday, it was gorgeous and fresh Sunday evening, when I couldn't help but finish the bottle.
97 points Jeb Dunnuck: "It’s a total blockbuster based on 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, and the balance Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec. Crème de cassis, blackberries, toasted spices, cedar, and forest floor notes all emerge from this deep, rich, opulent red that has sweet tannins, a thrilling texture, no hard edges, and a monster finish. This is another best-to-date from this estate and it’s an awesome wine."
