99 & 97 point Cabs: Last Call for Two Collectibles from Sheridan and Betz

We wish these two Cabs could be around for longer -- they're as much fun to sell as they are to drink. Alas, 99 and 97 point Cabernets don't tend to linger on shelves so today, it's last call for these epic wines. At a fraction of the price of similarly reviewed Bordeaux and Napa, this is a prime opportunity to lock in two collectibles.

Sheridan Block 1 Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
$116.95 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order
($129.95 regular)
99 points Wine Advocate: "It's an extraordinary Cabernet from Washington that will easily stand up to the first growths of Bordeaux in a blind tasting.Tobacco leaf, blackcurrants, toasted bread, lead pencil and spice are just some of the nuances here, and it's full-bodied, silky and seamless on the palate, with a fresh, clean, elegant style that just begs to be drunk. Nevertheless, I suspect it will put on weight with another 2-3 years of cellaring, and see its 20th birthday in fine form.
Epic Cabernet! Tasted over four days, this baby is a stellar wine for your cellar. It is surprisingly giving at first pour and continues lavishing as it breathes and expands. Arrives September 1

Betz Pere de Famille Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
$71.95 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($79.95 regular)
97 points Wine Advocate: "...fabulous notes of crème de cassis, graphite, crushed flowers and violets. Just screaming Cabernet, it offers full-bodied richness, incredible purity of fruit, and ultra-fine tannin, all of which make for a sensational Washington State Cabernet Sauvignon that's going to evolve for upwards of two decades."
Opening with pure elegance, we were taken by the savory mouthwatering aromas combining black cherry, pebbles and hints of fresh ground coffee and then pow -- gorgeous and voluptuous, all the while maintaining a near-mythical freshness and perhaps the most refined tannins of any Washington Cab. This is stunning wine that can be enjoyed in two years or in twenty. We highly recommend it and we're not alone (wink).
