95-point, Household-Name Barbaresco

Are we trying to make Barbaresco a household wine name? Darn right.

What better way to do that than to feature the wonderfully classic Barbarescos of Paitin. Whether you factor big scores (95 from Wine Spectator counts as such), our personal recommendations (Paitin was one of a handful of producers visited in September, for a reason), or both, make Paitin Barbaresco a household wine for you!

Paitin Barbaresco Sori Paitin Serraboella 2014
$43.15 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order
($47.95 regular)
95 points Wine Spectator, Highly Recommended: "Intense aromas and flavors of pure cherry, raspberry and flowers introduce this silky, delicate red, which is firmly structured, with dusty, assertive tannins. Notes of tobacco and mineral are woven into the long, detailed aftertaste. Best from 2021 through 2033." Arrives Dec. 9.
Tasted in September at the winery, this is the quintessence of Barbaresco, displaying pure class in how it meshes attractive red fruits with powerful structure. A wine for aging and contemplation. The first Sori Paitin Barbaresco was made in 1893. - Marcus
Paitin Barbaresco Serraboella 2014
$32.35 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($35.95 regular)
92 points Wine Spectator: "Currant, strawberry, cherry, floral and leafy flavors are the highlights of this racy, elegant red. Balanced on the firm side, with excellent length. Best from 2020 through 2032."
I'm not ashamed to say we've already enjoyed several bottles...and it's not even 2020 yet! The floral tones and sweet tobacco accents add pizzazz. Highly recommended by us.
We're looking forward to helping you with an order. Thanks for your support!
