93 point Every Day Pinot: Patricia Green Reserve '16

More love for Willamette Valley Pinot in this morning's Wine Spectator: a whopping 93 for Patricia Green Cellars' every day Pinot, Reserve 2016. It's a lovely tribute to Patty, who inspired so many.

Patricia Green Cellars Reserve Pinot noir 2016
$22.45 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order
($24.95 regular)
93 points Wine Spectator: "Shows structure and sleek polish, with expressive raspberry and rose petal aromas and layered red plum, black tea and spice flavors that linger toward refined tannins. Drink now through 2024."

The Reserve program has evolved from an every-so-often produced bottling to the mainstay of PGC's production. The Reserve allows them to accomplish two very important things: firstly, to use barrels from vineyard designated sites that don't quite represent the vineyard's profile, thereby making the vineyard designates true expressions of the site and vintage. Secondly, it allows them to create a blended wine that has a degree of consistency to it each vintage, is of high-quality and will sell for less than $25. As Patty and Jim described it, "we are wine consumers just as we are winemakers and we understand the absolute necessity for good quality Pinot at more of an every day sort-of price."

We're looking forward to helping you with an order. Thanks for your support!
