25 cases left of two $25 Oregon Pinots

Greetings Pinot fans,

Today, 25 is the magical number. As in, there are only 25 cases left of each of these fantastic under $25 Oregon Pinots.

The first is a wine we're offering for the first time: upstart Tim Malone's Willamette Valley '14. The second is a last call: $25 Pinot from Oregon's hottest winery, Walter Scott.

We strongly encourage you to spend 25 seconds and order these incredible values while you can!

Timothy Malone Willamette Valley Pinot noir 2014

$22.45 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($24.95 regular)

No exaggeration: Tim Malone is one of our favorite rising-star winemakers. We are loving everything about his small label, from the Nebbiolo rosé to this super Pinot, from the juice in the bottle to the incredibly modest prices.

This begs to be opened now, gushing with dark cherry goodness up front before picking up licorice and rosemary-accented black berries on the finish. A blend from two esteemed vineyards: La Colina in the Dundee Hills and Lia's in the Chehalem Mountains. Only 146 cases made, of which 25 remain. The window is closing. - Marcus

Walter Scott La Combe Verte Pinot noir 2015

$22.45 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($24.95 regular)

Don't think of this as value Pinot. Think of it as awesome Pinot that happens to be well-priced. The perfect marriage of cherries and summer plums, and complementary sweet/savory/spicy elements that make this the kind of thing you want to drink like juice. The average vine-age in this in a whopping 25+ years (another 25!). From Eola Springs, Freedom Hill, Sojourner, Temperance Hill, and Vojtilla Vineyards.

Back in March, we wrote this about Walter Scott: "in our expert opinion, Ken Pahlow and Erica Landon's Walter Scott Wines is the hottest Oregon winery right now. Everyone's talking about them and for very good reasons." It's hard to believe but Walter Scott has become even hotter. Since then, fantastic reviews from The Wine Advocate, then Wine Spectator have further fanned the flames. - Marcus
