$15 Estate-Grown Willamette Valley Pinot: Only Elk Cove

Here we are again, staring at the inconceivable and asking: how does one of Oregon's pioneering wineries make an estate-grown Pinot noir from an amazing vintage for $15?
Our duty is not to question but instead, to offer you our expert advice: back up the truck, make way, and buy buy buy
$14.99 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order
($16.66 regular)
You'd think we'd be used to Elk Cove's head-scratchingly amazing value by now but actually, with each new release it becomes even harder to believe. Trust us: tasting is believing. Folks this is amazing juice made by the winery who grew it -- that is literally unheard of in the world of $15 Willamette Valley Pinot, especially from a truly exceptional vintage like 2015 (our favorite since 2010) and even more so, from an Oregon winery who was making Pinot in the '70s! Brighter and more vibrant in character yet a touch darker in fruit than the '14, it hits all the notes and more. If it seems like I'm encouraging you to buy it, I am. - Marcus

Elk Cove makes dynamite wines across the board; here are a couple of their highly rated, single vineyard Pinots that we love:

$44.95 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($49.95 regular)
94 points Wine Advocate: "...a fragrant nose of red roses, Bing cherries and Provence herbs with hints of underbrush, lavender and damp soil. Medium-bodied, fine, fresh and delicately-played on the palate, it has a nice foundation of tannins and very appealing freshness that continues through the long finish."

$69.25 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($76.95 regular)
94+ points Wine Advocate: "...gorgeous notes of fresh cherries, rhubarb pie and violets with suggestions of bay leaves, forest floor, fungi and black tea. Medium-bodied, the palate offers a firm backbone of ripe, fine-grained tannins and plenty of freshness cutting through the intense flavors, finishing long and perfumed."
We're looking forward to helping you with an order. Thanks for your support!
